    understood,
we get the same in inspections,,,,, guys tell us how much we should charge for inspections,,,,, always high,,, if you call some schools, they will tell you an inspector is needed in their area, even if there are 15 to 25 already!
give it to Tandy, he will tell someone who is already in the area, I have heard of some schools who will tell an inspector the mills really really really really need an inspector in a state, when the state is full up with inspectors,

in my area, I have lots of competitors,,, some good, some bad,
so, when I tell a consumer 550.00 for a full NOFMA report, there are some who will tell the consumer that is not needed, and they will do it for less, some as low as 85 dollars, yep, that low,,,
some will do it that low just to keep another inspector from doing the job,,, yes, serious, in my trade, sometimes, we are our own worse enemy..... they do this deliberately, trying to hurt their fellow inspectors and in hopes of eliminating the competition... but, with this approach, they only hurt themselves,,,,

so, I agree with you,,,, you see, I studied and trained and studied and spent all my vacation money on classes and training,,,,only to watch guys with no idea how to inspect learn how much I am charging, then match my fees,,,,so, at times, I despair to be in my field, then, I realize, too old to change now!!!! :brick::brick::brick::bump::bump::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:
