I was going to say yesterday that your 1st cab driver long hauled you. There's absolutely no reason a cab from mcCarran to the excalibur would be $40.
I usually stay at Tahiti village & its further than the excalibur. A cab is about $25 including tip.
I love Vegas but everyone is trying to beat you there. Last time we went with friends of ours & my buddy got scammed for $100. Cashed out the machine he was on right in front of his face, then bummed a cigarette off him before he left with his ticket, lol. Them damn criminals are good there!

Everything was going along well then I saw the meter hit 15 a few miles away. Might have been 32$ but I rounded up. I think next time I can dial it down to a relatively low cost 4 night 5 day trip.

So, when there’s room for someone to come in and still make a profit it can ruin your business.

Home sweet home! Traveling, it’s not fun.

Rented a car and had to return it for issues. Actually got a better car.
At the show the only person from here was Mr. Coffee, Roland Thompson who snuck into a few of my pictures with his coffee cup held high.

I visited the Tools4Flooring booth and the Bullet Tools booth to check out a shear, the 26” which I cut a few carpet tile there. Older guy black hair was very helpful, said they have a 40” shear as well. Younger guy demonstrated the linear cutter for vinyl plank. Had some adjusting issues and it scores material top and bottom on a crank system then you have to snap it. Anyway I emailed T4F for a show special price if available. Both companies scanned my badge.

I think this is the right one RCT? There’s other 26’s and I usually buy the heaviest duty but not needed. They’re starting to blur together and probably confuse people. (Like me!)

Somehow it was 5 hours there 3-1/2 back. Wife asks why, haven’t searched other than speed. Said it would take 3 days to drive. Glad they’re (TSA,Air Traffic Controllers, etc) getting paid again.

I didn’t get to the exotic car driving. For some reason I assumed it was just an oval track. Road course?

Yes. It is inside of the Las Vegas nascar track. They said it was something like 1.4 miles a lap, I think 7 corners. I wish I had done more laps than 5 because you get the feel for the car after 4 laps and then your done. Watched the zip drive of my drive and 4th lap I hit 130mph on the straight stretch.
I drove straight through when I drove home, took 17 hrs. I didn't get tired at all, just the towns came and went and then home at about 2 am. Going through Salt Lake city, after getting winter tires on, clipping along at 80 mph on that 5 lane freeway, 6 cars ahead of me a car goes sideways and we all hit the brakes. Kids weaving through the traffic clipped a bumper and crashed. My wife drove it to work and got pulled over for no plates. I didn't see any police driving the 1000 miles home.

Should have found this site before to get it cheaper. I drove the Gallardo.

Kind of odd there were many demonstrations but only one I saw floor grinder. Props to NewGrind company. You would think ride on scrapers would have a test drive area along with the floor grinders. How else would one make a decision. Oh, and a little finance booth would help. I saw Capital One there but didn’t stop. (World of Concrete)

The whirlybirds were being ridden not sure why just for fun I suspect. Interesting they can now put diamond pads on for polishing. That cuts some labor out. Didn’t see any robotic ones, so much for fun, you’ve been replaced.

i'm getting calls from CEO's that I talked to at both conventions. Getting my pic and comments from the XL flooring booth put on a poster for another convention, Domotex. Also other opportunities for some other products look promising to go into. Amazing shows this year.
I saw the newgrind products at an elastocrete training a couple of years ago. I like the 3 headed handheld unit.

I was only there one day and did catch up with Roland for a bit as it was getting towards the end. I didn't take very many pics of anything.
