There are a lot of companies showing there that email entrance discounts to get in. I looked into going to the Shot show which is there the same time. I can't get into that because of the requirements and if I could it is $175.

The WOC app is pretty good. Looks like the south hall has mostly floor stuff. Been looking at events while I am there, might do a race car ride or a concert on Friday night of April Wine and Steelheart. ZZ top is there too but for $100 a seat i'll pass. I switch hotels on Sunday so i'm around on the strip if anyone wants meet up. Didn't see any classes I needed on Monday so that's freed up too. Thinking about buying a used car there to drive back.

Hmm I think I saw them back in the day,(wasn’t impressed), would have to ask some friends. Saw a lot of concerts they were cheap back in the day. U2 up front was around 2k$ a ticket. Sorry but their music hasn’t captured me lately and I will be wandering WOC with the song “still haven’t found what I’m looking for” and with the women there “she moves in mysterious ways” will occasionally break in.

I’d like to drive some exotic cars they let you take around the track, think it was 300$ but I passed last time.

That concert Mike is in the venetian on Friday the 18th night and last I saw tickets were 29.00. I just got the Tise app in the app store. You can star your exhibitors and you can find them on the map as they are yellow if you starred them.

I might crash you off the track.

I’m getting pictures this time Jim, hate it when they say no photography. I don’t remember products I saw, who the manufacturer was etc. all in the name of stealing ideas is why pictures are prohibited.

I got the Tise app a few years ago, TMI it just didn’t go with reality for me. Hard to explain but interaction was difficult when there. But more info is better than less.

That is a great idea. I live in the rust belt & just about any used vehicle is plagued with rust. I have been thinking about taking a trip down south specifically to buy a couple used SUVs.

I heard states like Utah etc. are good for vehicles not corroded. We traded in my in laws Nissan Frontier with severe saltwater damage from ocean spray parked Oceanside for a Toyota Camry. They said 1500$ without seeing it. I said ok! The Camry is also corroding near the windshield. It’s easy to see a salt vehicle from underneath. Wife’s aunt has a Tacoma and I looked under it as doing same thing about 1 year on the beach. It’s inevitable as I’ve researched what vehicle is most resistant. The whole engine compartment, all the metals including bolts just disintegrate. The hitch just fused together and flakes of deep rust eating away. Rust never Sleeps.

I remember chipping the bilges on a Navy ship to paint. I say how far can you chip before going all the way through. Saw that ship in mothball years later at Philadelphia shipyard. Rust Sucks! Fn rust, I feel better now that I insulted it.

I’ve been on Car Gurus for about 2 years now. Have the filter set to narrow everything down color, crew cab, gas engine, trim package, years, mileage and cost. It states the amount over or under book value and alerts when prices drop or a new one pops up. Then emails you when the saved one is sold and for price. Recently got online consumer reports and not too keen on the evaluation of vehicle I want. With bulky, slow stopping power, fuel efficiency I’m putting money in repairing my existing truck. It was from Missouri and to put running boards on I believe the bolts to attach brackets have seen salt. So an impact wrench is on its way from eBay. 1400ft lbs ought to break them loose. Or break where I will skimper to a machine shop. But impact wrench will work nice on my tires. Somehow I always need to buy a tool to make the work interesting.

I’ll be looking for a “superior” adhesive remover and residue from slabs. Sometimes it needs to be flat for day vct or lvp, others just the residue removed so ceramic and hardwood can be installed. Portable, better than hand grinders. Faster easier.

Yes, we get that magnesium chloride stuff sprayed here. With the epa and dust levels limited, they don't do much sanding anymore. With the sand they mix in salt, mostly used on intersections. Mechanics hate working on vehicles here now.

Just a heads up. I will not be at the show. I'm staying back at the office to cover while everyone else is gone. I really wanted to meet up with those who would be there from the site, but since the show has changed so much over the last few years, it's hard to justify me going. None of our major vendors have commercial meetings there anymore. While I might be useful helping the owner meet with some of the supply and tool guys, there will be plenty of help without me there.

    Ah well...maybe next year!!! ;)

Hope everyone going has safe travels and a great show!

Protesters are usually a little annoying so here goes again.

I’m getting concerned about the airline traffic controllers and the flights being cancelled. Thought the states were going to be shaken two years ago and I decided not to go then. I’d probably cancel if reservations were fully refundable.
