I regret that I had a class and could not stay and chat with You guys. It was fun while it lasted.
Great to see and meet you in person Jim!!!
I was happy to meet you too, Chuck. We shoulda got a picture together.
By the time I got my stuff all packed up and checked out, I was too tired to go back to Surfaces. I grabbed some breakfast and was on my way home about noon or so. I stopped twice to nap and ended up checking into a motel in Fallon, NV. Still kinda wore out from the last few days and my sleeping habits are all wonky. It's almost 7am and I'm awake. I got maybe 4 hours sleep last night, so I think I'm gonna try to get a couple more before I hit the road again. I'm only about 150 miles from home.
I hear ya. We had an early, 5:45 am flight back yesterday so I had to be at the airport at 4:00 am yesterday. Got home at 4:30 pm here in Indiana and had to go to water aerobics with my wife. Needless to say I'm a bit zombified today. Safe travels and again, great meeting you!
I leave today at 4pm. Get home a little after 11pm t what I guess is a 5-7 inch snow fall. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow?
Just got a call from Southwest. Or flight has been delayed 40 minutes -so far.
Got backed up again, now up to an hour.
They called you? Automated system?
Wife got hooked up for notifications, The hour one was a glitch. We left 25 minutes late and still got home 15 minutes before we were supposed to.
Here are pictures of me hooking up and shaking hands with Jim and Jon. If you look close you maybe able to make them out.
Jim is in the first picture and Jon the second.
here's the picture of the rest of us. In the background you can see Daris taking pictures of himself. You have to squint and look at a sharp angle.
Jon make it home yet or is he going all the way around the earth?
I don't like being away from home more than a week.
We are sitting at LA airport looking through the window at our plane which should be leaving in 2 hours for the 13 hour flight back to NZ.
Getting home at 7 am the next day
That doesn't look like a happy face,
13 hours is a long flight, how does the next shift get onboard
I think you need a vacation from your vacation.
won't that be 7am the "Previous" day...stoopid datelines...
I feel ya pain though, I did it once years ago and it was 15 hours...
Look on the bright side though...7am touchdown, time for a quick shower and you can be on ya knees by 8am no probs...
Well made it home and got right back to it. It is funny how things can get piled up in that short of a time.
Good seeing everyone, ( Daris and I did see and talk )
Jon give me a shout after you get home and settled back in.
This was one busy surfaces running from speaking to working with the other certifier's and trying to see a few of my rep's.
