    Isn't there still a cafeteria type thing there? Can we meet there any of the convention days, say any time between 12:30 and 1PM? I don't know the layout of the place, so I can't make any other suggestions than that. But I'm willing to find any place you suggest.

    This weekend I go to Reno, NV to pick up the laptop computer. On Monday I travel 4 1/2 hours to Oakland, CA so I can be up early on the 6th to go to the Segway dealer for the 3 hour riding class and then load up the Segway Human Transport and drive to Las Vegas, about a 9 hour drive. I have to check in by 2am. It's a lot of driving for a few days, but I am looking forward to it.

    Cafeteria is very, very large there was two last year one up and one down. I reckon the place to meet has to be a small confined spot like a neutral kinda area so there would be no politicals. I feel someone might punch me on the nose walking around peering at everybodies name tag in a large area. In the past members of our company meet at a certain spot on the main stairs at midday to arrange things. I know our guys and it was hard to find them amongst everybody else, that is why we picked one spot so imagine trying to find someone who you don't know. For the last two years up there we haven't bumped into each other in the show its self, only on the stairs, there are that mainy isles to get around and 40-50 thousand people

    I'll be there and probably find me around the CFI booth at the top of the stairs in the second floor entrance. If not there my wife Karen will be and she caan get ahold of me by cell phone. Looking forward to seeing every one I can.

    I must be a bit dumb (but I do live in New Zealand) it should be reasonably easy to find Jim if you knew which cafeteria and time with his Space machine being there. This would narrow the odds. Then we could find each other

    The World Floor covering Assosiation has always had a hospitaly area in the back area of the main floor. How about meeting there on Wed at 12:30 pm.
    Last year it was next to the installtion show case. But it should be on the map you get.

    I had no idea what a Segway was...until today there was story about them on TV. Those look like they would be a blast, but won't you need to sit a bit? Will we be able to follow your progress/travels inside? Can't wait to see some pic's, to finally put some faces to the names!

    That sounds excellent to me. I have plans to talk to the WFCA people anyway. Wednesday, 12:30PM at the big WFCA area in the back left corner of Hall A-D (upper hall).

    On Thursday, let's meet at the smaller Food Service area, near the registration area of Hall G (lower hall) at 12:30PM. This way if you don't make it on Wednesday, maybe you can make it Thursday.

    I can stand for quite a while, but yes, I'll have to take a lot of rest stops, hopefully at accommodating exhibitors areas. My camera and a laptop computer will be with me all the time. I don't know if I'll be able to log on while at the show, but I will find a way in the morning, around noonish and in the evening (I got a room with an Internet connection). The laptop is rented, so it won't have my image programs and other stuff. I will try to post a few pictures while I'm there, but most of the news and pictures will probably come after I get home.

    Not sure what model I'll be riding, but the Segway is a very cool mode of transportation. I've never seen one up close, so it'll be all new to me.

    These are the 2 newest models, but I might be riding last year's model, which looks a little different. They can go up to 12.5 miles per hour and are legal vehicles for the handicapped to use in buildings and other areas that wheelchairs and other scooters are allowed. Some places don't allow them though, because they are different, but there is an advocacy organization that has made many cities change their laws to accommodate them. Hanley-Woods and the Sands have verified that I can use the Segway anywhere I want.

    I'm so excited, but I have to keep reminding myself that it isn't in the back of my van yet. When it is, I'll be very anxious to get to Vegas and "glide" through Surfaces.

    Can't be there on Thur. The WFCA has a lunchen to give the affiliate of the year award. Plan on bringing it back to MD. I will be at the one on Wed.

    Why don't you all meet in the main lobby at the NICFI booth its # 114. You could meet between 9&10 am each morning or between12&1 pm
    There should be a sitting area next to there booth

    Jon... I wish I could be there as well. This year I will be there vicariously through our own TFP. I've sent a few people to seek him out, hee, hee. :D

    Thanks Jon. Not anywhere close to being in the budget. I sure would like to attend once to see what goes on there..... and boy o boy would this be the time to be there and see all you old guys that are attending this year. Take enough pics so we non-attenders have something to laugh about when you get back. :D
    I really do appreciate the nice thought Jon. I really do. Like to put a face on a lot of you guys.
    I don't know about that sk guy tho......... he might be related to them bigfoot creatures in the deep California woods...... kinda creepy if you've heard the stories that I have. ;)

    just got back today. had a good time. met some nice people, did not see or meet anyone from the floorpro site. oh well theres always next year.:rolleyes:
