I found a Ridgid air mover in brand new condition for $45 at a pawn shop a few years ago.
Most shops around me have things just under retail anymore, the ease of looking up prices online seemes to make them way too expensive to bother.

Agree, same with Habitat for humanity, they quote crap, print it out, (says eBay price etc) tape it on. I liked it when they were ignorant to our trade. A lot make their money on loans or buying gold, selling guns, jewelry. Tools seem to inconvenience them.

Stopped at 3 pawn shops yesterday(Saturday) in Daytona area. Found the beast tile saw, R4090 for 225$ asked if I can buy it and leave it for month or two. No, suggestion about Lay-a-way, perfect. Put 25$ down and have to make two more payments monthly, not over phone. I figure if I forget or what have you only out 25$.

Think it’s missing the tray but I like to run clean water through a 5 gallon bucket.

This drill was a good deal but I have about 4 of them and I’m on battery tools for small things. It’s the extreme max, couple years ago I paid 100$ for a pawn find.

Got a tile cutter for my house when I do 6x36’s.

The lay a way system is odd at Cash America in Daytona. I put 16?$ down, then month later supposed to put more down but can’t pay over phone so I sent someone there to pay cash after I paypalled them $. Only I could pick it up after paying for it.

They called but didn’t leave message for the one month mark. I called the number back the next day and they put it back on shelf. So they pulled it again.

Went yesterday specifically for it 120? Miles then saw the inlaws for 1/2 hour and drove back.

Nice cutter though, first cut a success(lucky)

I like the price drop format as time goes by. The stagnant pawn shops don’t do that.

That’s a good deal at that price, really only needs to work well on one or two jobs to pay for itself. I heard the other day that tile is getting installed at $6-8 ft here now, those are decent price. I think it’s $20 ft for backsplashes. Maybe time to learn a new trade
