Tandy, I agree it would be best from the committee, but Jim told me there isn't any way to set up a forum member named "Committee" so posts can be done that way.

Jim, maybe this could be a home page item?

Yes, there is a way to set up a new forum member named "Committee", but that's just a little silly to me. This event is CO-sponsored by FITS and TFP, so I don't see a problem with Tandy or I posting it. Since I can make it "all purtty an' shit", it's seems like a natural to just go ahead and let me do it.

And no, this isn't ready for prime-time yet. It's still in the discussion stage - only now it's up to the membership. When we have a final agenda, THEN it will be Home Page News.

Okay, I just woked up and need to get my bearings. I will start working on the agenda post just as soon as I get a few sips of coffee. [IMG]

Jim, I'm going to put my feelings on the line here.:D Peter has been working very hard on this and has begged the membership for input. He has gotten very little so we went ahead and did the best we could with what we had. I don't think it is right to say OK THANKS now we'll revise it. The comments of all were considered and the best were pulled out and incorperated. You can't please all the people all the time. At some point it needs to be said "THIS IS IT"!

I guess if you and Tandy are co-sponsers you make the decision.

Roger, thanks for your thoughts. It has always been my understanding that the agenda the committee worked up was not a final draft. I thought our agenda was to be submitted to the membership for their input and suggestons in order to come up with the final agenda for the workshop. Peter has worked very hard on this and our thanks to him for doing so. However, I suspect he knew it was going to be hard work when he took the job.

As far a us being the co-sponsors and making all the decisions is not what this is all about. This is not an ego thing for me and that will not be an issue as far as I am concerned. This is our workshop and we are only sponsors.

I agree with Tandy. Yes, a very few people worked very hard on this, especially Peter. But it has always been stated that the work we came up with here would be put to the membership for their comments and suggestions. They like being involved. Even with their comments and suggestions, the agenda might still stand as is, but it's only fair to offer it to the members who have had tremendous input already.

It's posted and I hope it gets lots of traffic. I think we can finalize it by Monday - that gives everyone plenty of time to make their remarks. I do agree it's time to move forward, but we must allow the membership here to be involved. Remember, TheFloorPro.com is NOT Jim McClain, it is every member of this website - every member of this website is the co-sponsor of this event and I think I can speak for most in saying we are very proud to be associated with Tandy and the FITS organization in this event.

Thanks for all the pats on the back but I can't get my head through my front door now

I did know there was to be some feedback form membership but we were not going to do a poll. I believe we should review any comments, quickly, and the committee should post the final agenda ASAP.

The hardest part of doing this has been keeping a good track of the changes! A labor of love and I feel honored to be able to contribute.
