    FCICA to Host the Webinar: Concrete Floors and Moisture Testing

    FCICA, the Flooring Contractors Association, will host a webinar on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 1:00 pm EST. Lee Eliseian, President and Principle Consultant of Independent Floor Testing and Inspection, Inc. (IFTI) will present the webinar Concrete Floors and Moisture Testing.

    The purpose of this presentation is to give architects, engineers, design professionals, and construction industry personnel an introduction to concrete floor slabs, causes of moisture related floor covering failures, and the latest industry standard test methods.

    Attendees will complete the session with a comprehensive understanding of the conditions related to concrete slabs and moisture problems and how they affect floor coverings, as well as a better understanding of evaluating moisture and alkalinity conditions and the importance of including Concrete Slab Moisture and pH Testing in project specifications.

    Lee Eliseian: President and Principal Consultant of Independent Floor Testing and Inspection, Inc. (IFTI) has over 30 years of experience in the floor covering industry, specializing in national independent third-party concrete slab moisture testing, floor covering failure analysis, and moisture mitigation systems. He is an active member of the ASTM F06 Committee on Resilient Flooring. He Chairs the ICRI 710-B Subcommittee on Moisture-Related Issues with Concrete Floor Finishes as well as an active member of the ACI 302.2R Committee on the Guide for Concrete Slabs that Receive Moisture-Sensitive Flooring Materials.
