The frost line at the cottage in west Michigan is over 3 feet, footings have to be 48 inches.
well those of us that live in Michigan are getting hammered with snow and high winds. My area has at least 6 inches since around 5 this morning and the call is for up to 12 inches. Jon for you that is frost.
Susposed to get a break tomorrow and then on Sunday it starts all over again. I think I'm really going to hate the snow plow driver before this is over.
We're just across a couple of (Great) lakes, and we are getting hammered with the same weather system; Dave teamed up with another installer today to do an out of town job, our old van is parked with a ton of snow on it. My job to shovel out this afternoon while he's gone. Deb
Stay safe, everybody.
Never seen it so foggy here, I mean never.
Today it finally cleared off about noon. It had been foggy for 3 straight days. I mean thick all day, not just the morning. Thought I was in the London Fog!
We've had that here in Missouri, too. Only it was freezing fog.
Daris down closer to detroit we didnt see the plow trucks until after 3 pm, I drove to Clarkston and Utica and the only road plowed was Woodward and then only 1 out of 4 lanes.
10 mph this morning on I75 with little traffic, folks should stick to the side streets if theyare not confident enough to drive on the highway.
Talk about Frustration I even left 45 minutes early and was still late. ran late all day good thing schools were closed, and a couple of folks had to stay home with the kids.
......well thanks to Lo, we got 17 in. and we're gettin 8 more tomorrow.......:help:
I posted this picture a while ago. A real frosty cold day here in Auckland. This is the worst I have seen for years. It was real cold BUT no white stuff
Visiting my mom for the holiday. The only thing I'm shoveling through is the 160 odd posts that hit here since Wed. night! Boy are you folks wordy
Oh, BTW about 80 degrees and sunny in Naples, Fla.
Wind chill here tonite -5 to -10.
Very funny, Jon. We're expecting another 2 feet of the white stuff before Christmas Eve.
Ok Lo, you can turn this thing off now. It's ccccccold out. Seven degrees with wind ch ch chill of -7.
Wuss! That's a nice Spring day in Minnesota
Dan, we are only a 100 miles or so apart. Why is it so much warmer where you are? lol
Because of Dan's sunny disposition...
It is 7 degrees with 30 mile an hour winds, putting the wind chill at 24 below. The wife drug me out to go shopping for a new paper shredder. It was colder than a whores heart.
I don't know how you guys and gals do it up there where it gets real cold like that??
I'd look like the Michelin Man, with at least 5 pairs of heavy duty, thick, long john thermals(tops and bottoms), 3 pairs of socks, with my 1000 Thinsulate boots, jeans, a flannel shirt, with a sweat shirt and a hoody pull over, and my military parka my dad got in Greenland, a scarf or two, gloves and goggles.
I only passed it on to CP............ I know he didn't want it, so he might have passed it farther east, with a little bit of curveball spin on it.
I'll see if I can fix it up for ya after Christmas. (I'll probably be kinda busy watching the TV this week)
..........I chartered 600 C-130's to bring some of this #$%$^ to yer house and do an airdrop Lo..............so I need an address................
