Ooooh, I see now. That's not the forum software, that's the CMS (Content Management System) software, which is done with WordPress. But it's also not the WP software's problem, it's the theme I'm using and it doesn't appear to play well with those images. However, if you turn your phone sideways, it shows the column the way it should.

I've heard some people don't have auto-rotate turned on, but I don't know why they don't. It's one of the smartphone's best features. It doesn't always work so well with older smartphones. I don't know what "older" is though.

Still, that's not something I was aware of and I don't like how that works. Looks like I'm going to have to find a theme that is customizable and works better. What a pain in th...

Mike isn't the only TFP user that does it with an iPhone, but he is just about the only one who tells me when there is a problem with the site on an iPhone. So, it's not a bother... Well, it's only a bother when he doesn't provide complete details, but I crack the whip on him and it works. ;) But I did forget to mention in my last reply that the problem isn't only with the iPhone, it happens on my Galaxy Note 4 too.

I looked around today (oh, I mean yesterday, but I haven't been to bed yet) and found two WP themes that might work to replace the current one. They're both just under 50 bucks, so I'll have to wait until after the first. It could take a few days work to make it look like TFP, but it should solve the smartphone problem.

I only need one theme, but I can't be sure the one I choose works until I install it and make some modifications. Most theme vendors don't do money back guarantees. In fact, the one I'm using now is the third premium theme I tried and the fifth over all. The first two were free themes and they just don't have the features or capabilities I needed, so I turned to premium. I got my money back on one that didn't work, but lost on the second one. Unfortunately, most themes these days are made by people in foreign countries without the same business ethic we have in the US.

Anyway, I'm grateful to members like Mike who let me know when things aren't working right.

Got one, posting from it now. There's a few more things displayed, still haven't viewed TFP from desktop. Just seems plain for an initial first time user view, should have pizazz no?

Maybe a slide show of recent uploaded photos across the top of the page?

Dancing girls? I could get to liking that. ;) They could dance on the counter top room divider I have in front of my desk. Ooh la-la.

The forum looks fine to me too, but the home page and article pages don't. Check it out: The Floor Pro Community |

Bah, it's one of the most annoying features. I set up a gps destination and set my phone down, it goes to landscape. Grr, I turn the phone so I can see it in landscape it goes back to portrait. At this point, I am going to turn off auto-rotate or chuck it out the window.

I have my phone locked in portrait because it is a one hand device and my iPad locked in landscape because it takes both hands.

I bet you put your toilet paper rolls on backwards too!

From the bottom backwards? Wondered about floor installers that know how things roll out should be. I'm the installer of those because spring lever is too complicated for wife, awaiting me to install slide on replacement

:shifty:I want the next sheet close to me, not hanging down against the back wall. :yesss:

Most smartphones don't do auto-rotate well when you lay them on a flat surface, especially if that flat surface isn't flat, like the tilted seat of your truck. But auto-rotate works just fine when you hold the phone in your hand facing you.

In the vehicle, leave the phone alone. Put it in a smartphone air vent holder or a suction cup cellphone holder. Auto-rotate works fine with those devices. Don't blame your phone for your lack of understanding of physics.
